Chúc mừng năm mới!
(Also, he's not for sale. XP)
I know it's a bit late, but having spent most of the morning at the temple visiting my grandma (who has been staying there every weekend as of late) and the whole of yesterday cleaning in preparation for the new year, I didn't have time to make this little guy till when I got back.

(And I've been looking for work and working on commissions the weeks before this weekend too)
In any case, as you can tell by the first thing I said, I'm Viet. XD And as a translation for everyone, what I said was "happy new year!". XD
I'm pretty excited for this year. :3 Year of the snake! And this here lady was born on the year of the snake 24 years ago. =w= I'm definitely hoping this will be a lucky year even though it started out with a snow storm in the Midwest. XD But it's nothing that we haven't handled before. It's just a few inches, so it's not bad. :3
So, moving onto the piece. This little guy is actually a combination of crochet and knitting. :3 His head was crocheted while his body was knitted. I originally planned him to be fully crocheted, but that was taking much longer than I would've liked. I think this decision to knit his body was pretty good; gives him a scaly look for his body. :3
His eyes...I'm not too pleased with, but the fabric glue got everywhere and I couldn't find my toothpick.
Still pretty good for a first try at a snake though. >w< He's also one of the smaller pieces I've done. His head is as small as the body of the red panda I made earlier.
I wish you all a happy new year and I will see you guys around.

I will upload more pictures of other pieces later after the festivities die down. XD We have two more days of celebrating. @w@

He measures around 3cm tall and 3.5cm wide. His head is 2cm in diameter though.

It's MAGIC. MY wishes been ANSWERED. lol
He's a cutie. Love his tongue.
Thanks, I love his tongue too. ^w^
I already mention to you I was born in the year of the snake, but didn't know you were as well. I don't entirely belief in the good luck thing but I do find Eastern Astrology interesting (plus it's nice to feel special ^ ^). Also I didn't start out with a good year either, but yours start off doesn't seem that bad. Pacifically it is the year of the water snake but I'm an earth snake. What's your element?
By the way before reading your comment I copy and pasted your New Years greeting to Google translate where I set it to Vietnamese to see what is said. It turns out it was New Years but I didn't have to do that since you explain what it meant.
Also I wish you a happy (belated) Chinese new year!
